about

I’m passionate about teaching wine in a meaningful and approachable style, and I live in one of the U.S.’s most exciting wine regions- Washington State.
I teach classes, consult on wine lists for restaurants, and create great wine experiences from intimate dinners and weddings of all sizes to corporate events.
I’ve been influenced by some truly amazing people and it is my hope to give back what I’ve learned from them. Here’s a quick look into my background:
- I’ve worked with a James Beard award winning chef and have been a wine buyer for one of Seattle’s premier restaurants. This is where I learned about true excellence in the restaurant industry.
- My studies with the International Sommelier Guild allowed me to work directly with Canada’s first female Master of Wine. It was through this experience that I gained a profound respect and love for the wine industry.
- I’ve had a chance to travel to wine regions in France, Germany, Italy, (and Washington!), and I’ve met wine makers from around the world. Wine makers have taught me that the subject of wine does not need to be pretentious, nor out-of-reach. In fact, it is accessible to us all.
- Among my true blessings is the year after I graduated from Ohio State, I studied with Marcel Marceau at his school in Paris, France. He opened my eyes to the beauty of the human experience.
